Built from a problem I kept seeing
How it started
Found.je started with something I kept noticing, both in my own business and in conversations with other local people.
As a business owner, I’ve experienced the reality of running a service-based business. One minute you’re incredibly busy, and the next you have unexpected gaps in your diary that you’d love to fill
I realised I wasn’t the only one.
I’d speak to other business owners and hear the same thing. They could be fully booked one week and then suddenly have availability the next. The customers were out there but there wasn’t an easy way of letting people know “I can help you now.”
At the same time, I was hearing the opposite problem from clients.
They needed a plumber. A cleaner. Someone to do a job at home. They’d asked for recommendations, searched online or posted on social media but the people they contacted were often already fully booked.
Connecting the two
I actually found myself personally connecting the two.
Someone would tell me they had a gap in their diary, then someone else would mention they were looking for exactly that service, and I’d say:
“I know someone who might be available.”
And that’s when the idea for Found.je really started to take shape.
What if finding someone local could be easier?
There are brilliant local businesses across Jersey.
The problem isn’t always finding out who exists. It’s finding out who can actually help when you need them.
I wanted to create something that worked for both sides.
A place where customers could search for the service they need and see businesses with current availability while giving local businesses a simple way to turn unexpected gaps into genuine opportunities.
That’s what became Found.je.
